On June 3rd, 2015, after spending 2.5 years in remission, my leukemia has returned. Below is the original overview I wrote upon my initial diagnosis and it still stands true today. I will achieve a 2nd remission. I will receive a successful Stem Cell Transplant. I will resume my normal activities, be with my family, and praise God through it all.
On Thursday, December 6th, I was admitted to the hospital with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. While the diagnosis is unexpected, I plan on the outcome being certain. I will be treated. I will go into remission. I will return to my normal activities. As someone recently diagnosed with leukemia said “I am living in my vision, not in my circumstances.” Much like him, my vision is to walk my 2 daughters down the aisle and to see my son get married as well. I will grow old with my wife because I will be a cancer survivor. I trust in God and his provision for me. I take heart because he has already overcome this disease.
