Light the Night

I should have mentioned this a lot sooner, but you know, monthly admissions and 3 young kids keeps a guy busy.

A Brief Update
I don’t wear briefs.  I wear boxers.

A Quick Update
Everything continues to be on track.  I feel pretty good, but not great (I couldn’t go out and run a marathon, but then again, I couldn’t do that before cancer either).  My next appointment is 10/16, so look for an update sometime after that.

September was Significant
Why you ask? Because September was the first month in nearly a year where I didn’t spend a single night in the hospital.  October is shaping up to push my streak to 2 months in a row sans hospital.

Light The Night
Light the Night is the annual fundraising walk for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society.  Light the Night helps fund cancer research and also helps patients with co-pays and expenses.  Obviously it is now an event that is near and dear to my heart.

Light the Night will take place this Saturday (told you I was a bit late in writing about it) at Victory Field.  As the name indicates, it’s a walk that takes place at night.  More info about the event can be found here:

No pressure at all, but anyone who would like to join us is welcome to attend., you can join our team here:

A Duck Dynasty Prayer
Father God, as we face difficult times, help us to remember that we don’t face them alone.  As we face frustrating times, help us to remember that things may not be as bad as they seem.  For the worst day with you is still much better than the best day without you.  We are here on earth for a season, and then spend eternity in your glory.  Let us not focus on the season we are in, but instead on the glory that awaits.  Whether it has been a good day or a bad day, I thank you for another day.
